On 9 December 2019, the Dahrendorf Forum at LSE IDEAS (in collaboration with the LSE European Institute) was delighted to host an evening of reflection and discussion with former Greek Finance Minister George Papaconstantinou and former Governor of the Bank of Cyprus Panicos Demetriades
Both men found themselves in the eye of the storm managing the fallout from the financial crises in Greece and Cyprus respectively. In this talk, they look back at the lessons learnt from their experience and the valuable insight they provide into the development of European monetary policy.
