Our academic Co-Director Prof Iain Begg spoke at the conference of SEURF (Société Universitaire Européenne de Recherches Financières) which took place at De Nederlandsche Bank in Amsterdam on Wednesday 8 January 2020.
Taking a break from the presentations, he and David Miles, Professor of Financial Economics at Imperial College Business School, were interviewed for VoxEU.org, the CEPR’s policy portal. They discussed how the UK and the EU will try to strike a post-Brexit deal in financial services during the coming months, what exactly is at stake in these negotiations, and who would suffer most if there’s no deal.
