As UK voters went to the polls, our Academic Co-Director at LSE Iain Begg was interviewed by Deutshe Welle (DW) on the potential economic consequences of Britain’s exit from the EU, seemingly inevitable now as a Conservative victory looms.
Whilst it looks likely there will be some sort of economic benefit from ending the uncertainty over Brexit, Prof Begg asserted that “All the credible research suggests we can expect negative effects from whatever new barriers are erected between the UK and the rest of the EU”.
