Dahrendorf Post-Doctoral Fellow Benjamin Martill recently published the article “Center of Gravity: Domestic Institutions and the Victory of Liberal Strategy in Cold War Europe”.
Examining the importance of domestic political institutions for the strategic choice, he argues that the victory of containment as strategic choice was dependent on these institutions favoring the political center. His argument is brought to life by a discussion on the politics of strategy in the French Forth Republic.
