Tobias Fella

Tobias is the manager of the Dahrendorf Forum at Hertie. He started working at the Dahrendorf Forum as a Research Associate in the autumn of 2016. He is also a PhD candidate in Political Science at Humboldt University of Berlin. His doctoral research focuses on the idea of decline in US foreign policy thinking. Prior to joining the Hertie School and the Dahrendorf team, Tobias served as a Fellow in the America Division of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP)) and as a Policy Advisor on German and European Foreign and Security Policy at the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation (FES). From 2014 to 2015, he also worked as an Editor of the IPG Journal, an online magazine covering questions of international policy. Tobias studied Political Science, International Law, and History at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (MA) and at Technical University Darmstadt (BA).
